Insert brings down a submenu that allows you place some commonly used items into the text without typing them. When you click on insert (or drag the mouse to it) a sub-menu will appear. The submenu gives you four choices:

~~| No space places a ~~| directly at the current cursor position without creating any new lines.
Variable prompts you for the name of a model variable with the Variable Selection dialog and places the name you select at the current location.
Font prompts you for a font using the Font Selection dialog and places the text specification for that font at the current location in the text. It will take the selected text as the input for the current font. This is primarily intended for use in .vcd files.
Lookup starts the Graph Lookup Editor. If you have selected the values for a Lookup table, the Graph Lookup Editor will be started for those values, otherwise it will start empty. When you Click on OK in the Graph Lookup Editor the corresponding numbers will be copied to the current location. Note that the Graph Lookup Editor, when invoked in this manner, does not do any syntax or usage checking but simply allows you to edit numbers graphically. This is useful in both models and .cin files.
Venapp Control opens the Venapp Control dialog for the current line. This is only useful in .vcd file.
