The action recorder has a number of controls to help you use it. Each is described below.

This limits the number of commands shown in the main window. |

This button turns recording on and off. |

These two buttons allow you to either run all the commands, or run just those selected in the main window. |

These buttons allow you to insert new commands or comments. |

Standard controls to cut/copy and paste controls. |

This button deletes ALL entries in the action recorder. |

Load a command file. Vensim command files can be appended to the action recorder list. Save as a command file. The action recorder can be used to generate command scripts to be run in Vensim later. The checkbox stores the current list of commands in the model allowing you to give a model to someone else and let them re-run exactly what you want them to. |

When loading models as part of a process, this button tells Vensim to load the model into the same parent window as the current action recorder. |

Move buttons. Select some commands and these buttons will move the selected commands to the top/bottom or up and down. |
