Parameter overlap/mapping between parent and sub-models.

Scroll Prev Top Next More

When a sub-model is loaded, each parameter is processed separately.

-        If the parameter exists in the parent model, the default behavior is to use the parent model equation.

-        If it does not exist in the parent model, it is added as a read-only parameter.

All views from the sub-model will be added as read-only views to the parent model.

The user has control of which equations are used in the parent model. If you double click on one of the sub-models, the following dialog will be displayed.

sub_model_parameter_mapping

This lists all parameters that can be found within both parent and sub-model. Every parameter that is found in more than one model will be listed. Clicking on one of the parameters will allow you to select which model is responsible for the calculation of it. In this example, the equation used for "Adjusted CO2 intensity of resource" is calculated using the equation from the sub-model "Emissions.mdl".
