In the following examples we will use :CONNECT DATA1. This will bring up a dialog box (more precisely a sequence of dialog boxes) to identify the data source the first time it is used in a Vensim session. After that the data source will be reused without the query.
You can also specify a complete data source in the :CONNECT line. The easiest way to do this is to use the menu item Insert>ODBC connection from the Text editor.
