An activated Analysis tool creates a new window, known as a tool output window or tool instance. Custom graphs, tables and reports also create tool output windows, as does units checking and model checking in the Text Editor. You can resize and move a tool output window. Tool output windows are not dynamically linked to any data source, but are simply snapshots of the things in place when the tool output was created. For this reason, the contents of the tool output windows never change. If you make a change and want to see the new results, you must invoke the tool again. The only exceptions are the Output Objects placed on Sketches which are updated after simulation and work-in-progress graphs which are updated as a game or simulation progresses. You can also click on the Redo Open button in the Graphs tab of the Control panel to regenerate open custom graphs.
