The Control Panel has a Variable tab that allows you to select the Workbench variable. There are also times when you need to select a variable for other purposes. These include adding a variable to a sketch, searching for a variable in a sketch, adding variables to graph definitions, and other purposes. The Variable Selection dialog is used to manage this modal selection of variables.
The Variable Selection dialog functions in exactly the same way as the Variable tab of the Control panel except that it has OK and Cancel buttons. Depending on where the Variable Selection Dialog is called from, it might not include the Subscripts drop-down.
