When you invoke the Units Check tool, it reports the number of errors encountered:
Errors are displayed in a scrollable text window which contains an analysis of the errors. If the output from a previous use of the Units Check tool is still open when you invoke Units Check, the old output window is deleted.
There are two types of messages that report problems with units:
| • | Errors indicating dimensional inconsistency. |
| • | Warnings indicating that you have not defined the units of measure for a variable, or that you are using a dimensioned variable as input to a Lookup table. Using dimensioned inputs to Lookups is potentially dangerous since changing the units of measure influences the Lookup's output. Lookups are recommended to be dimensionless. |
You can print or export the output from a Units Check by clicking on the appropriate button.
