The Text Editor is designed to work well using just the keyboard. In addition, you can use the mouse and menu items to perform most functions. Dragging the mouse, for example, is often the most efficient way to select small areas of text.
To position the cursor in the Text Editor, just click in the window at the position you want to cursor to go. You can also click on the scroll bars to reposition the file.
Double-clicking on a variable name will select that variable into the Workbench, or notify you if the Workbench model does not contain the variable you double-clicked on. This is true whether or not the file you are working with is a model.
