Vensim 5.11a is a bug fix release that addresses two problems that were new to the 5.11 release. It also addresses a number of pre-existing bugs.
Documentation Changes:
•Several sample functions and example files have been modified.
Enhancements:
•Vensim upgrade links have been modified to match the updated web site
Bug Fixes:
•CORRECTED: Use of the Stats tool resulted in a crash..
•CORRECTED: Long error messages and model notes were split into many lines.
•ODBC settings in the Simulation Control Dialog have been fixed. Sample files have been updated to reflect Windows 7 installation directories (Users/Public).
•CORRECTED: An exceptionally large Payoff value was causing Vensim to crash.
•Table arrays were using an excessive amount of memory when WARNINGS were enabled. This has been dramatically reduced.
Known Issues:
We expect the following to be corrected in a subsequent release; email help for assistance if you need a workaround in the interim:
•Placing macro output variables on sketches causes a crash
•Attempting to display a lookup in a Table Tool with 2D Subscripting active causes a crash
•The :EXCEPT: feature is not supported for subscripted LOOKUP tables. If you manage to create an entry, Vensim will crash if you try to check or simulate the model.
Mac Only:
• File and directory links in the HTML help system do not work as well with Firefox as they do when Safari is the default web browser.
