The Vensim sketch Editor can be used to write Venapps and it is also possible to move back and forth between the text representation and the visual representation just as you can with Vensim models. The visual editing of Venapps has been designed so that commentary and layout placed in the Venapp source text are preserved.
The editing of Venapps using Vensim's Text Editor is done just as the editing of any text file would be. The only difference is that there is a >Ctrl button on the bottom. This button will parse a line containing a Venapp Control and allow you to edit it using the Venapp Control dialog described later in this chapter. You do not need to highlight the line, Vensim will simply use the entire line the editor is currently positioned over.
