The Sketch Editor allows you to work on the structure of a model, but there is no restriction that the model be well formed or complete. Incomplete equations, equations with syntax errors, simultaneous equations, and other problems will be reported when you attempt to check, load, or simulate the model. Error reporting for problems relating to equations is shown in the Equation Editor.
Changes made to a model using the Equation Editor are transferred to all views to keep them completely up to date. New and modified variables or causal relationships are added to views in the simplest possible manner.
In Vensim PLE and PLE Plus causal relationships can only be changed on the View. If you attempt to change these in the Equation editor you will receive an error message.
